How this page started
I have always learned best through stories. Seeing what others have done to cope with similar trials provides me with hope and inspiration. When I found myself graduating BYU with no dating prospects, I felt like a failure. With no plans and no purpose, I was confused and lost.

When I learned Mary Fielding Smith was 36 when she first got married, she instantly became my hero. I soon realized she wasn't the only one. There were many women in early church history who married later than would be expected for that time.

And thus, this page was born. A compilations of women throughout church history who spent a considerable amount of time single. I hope these stories inspire you and remind you that there is so much good you can do in this world, with or without a husband.
